- Date, time and place of birth (to generate your personalized horoscope and birth chart)
- Moon sign, sun sign and nakshatra (derived from birth details)
- This information is used solely to provide astrological services
Usage Data
- Content you listen to, read or interact with
- Quiz answers and scores
- Duration of audio content played
- App features you use and frequency of use
Device Information
- Device type, operating system and app version
- FCM token for push notifications (with your permission)
- IP address (for security and analytics)
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide personalized daily horoscope based on your moon sign
- To generate your birth chart (Kundali)
- To send push notifications for daily horoscope, Sant Vaani and festivals (with your permission)
- To track Divya Coins, quiz scores and lucky draw entries
- To improve the app and fix bugs
- To provide customer support
- To send important account and service updates
3. Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties
- We do NOT collect payment card or banking information
- We do NOT track your location in real-time
- We do NOT share your birth chart or astrological data with advertisers
4. Data Sharing
We share your data only with:
- AstrologyAPI — to generate horoscopes and panchang (birth details shared securely)
- Firebase (Google) — for authentication and push notifications
- Cloudflare — for content delivery and security
- Legal authorities — only when required by law
5. Data Storage & Security
- Your data is stored on secure servers in India
- All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
- Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
- Profile photos and audio content are stored on Cloudflare R2
- We regularly review and update our security practices
6. Push Notifications
We send push notifications for:
- Daily horoscope (opt-in, can be disabled in app settings)
- Sant Vaani / daily quote (opt-in)
- Festival reminders (opt-in)
- Important account alerts
You can manage notification preferences in the app under Profile → Notification Preferences.
7. Your Rights
- Access: You can view your profile data anytime in the app
- Edit: You can update your name, phone, bio and photo in Profile settings
- Delete: You can delete your account from Profile → Delete Account
- Export: Contact us to request a copy of your data
- Opt-out: You can disable notifications anytime in app settings
8. Children's Privacy
DivyaVani is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us immediately.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via push notification or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
